In the Spring of 2000, I walked into a yoga studio in San Francisco and my life changed drastically. I met my mentor and began a 10 year intensive study of the Rocket Yoga training system he created. This training system is magical and it allowed me to move my body in incredible ways and recover the youthful flexibility and mobility I had a child. In 2007, I produced my first Rocket Training system in digital video format in my friends basement. It was 2 beginner classes, 2 intermediate classes and 3 advanced classes. These classes were modeled after the exact classes I was teaching at It's Yoga at the time. The production my not be 'professional' but that is besides the point. My intention was to share something that I believed in. At that time I was leading Rocket Teacher Trainings and traveling Europe teaching. I was really in the yoga zone and I wanted others to experience the dramatic changes I had. These videos were lost for many years and now have been released for the first time! The new videos (4 Athletic Rockets, 4 Professional Rockets, and 2 Master Rockets) are the ones missing the thumbs so they will jump out at you. 'Good luck,' is what my mentor used to say to us before class. 'Relax, breathe and go with the flow.' Over course, it took me 4 years of one and two times daily practice to handle these routines and I'm sure you will have them in no time flat if that is important to you.
Remember the point is to be challenged so you will grow. Mastery is a lifelong process where one is engaged in the journey not the outcome. Try it out and do what you can. Train hard but train smart. Don't stress if its not perfect or you need to skip poses. It's a training system. It's about showing up everyday, its not about a poses perfect. It's Yoga, Method Yoga
